Some interesting facts about Sidcup Kent

Sidcup is a development of the suburbs of London Borough of Bexley, south-east London. Located south-11.3 miles (18.2 km) from Charing Cross, Sidcup is bordered by the London boroughs of Greenwich and Bromley and Kent County Council, and while holding a part of Greater London, was once referred to as the Kent Gate.

In 1965, the urban district and parish councilors have been removed. Sidcup continued part of the London Borough of Bexley in Greater London and Chislehurst was the London Borough of Bromley.

Sidcup mentioned in two famous plays and their film adaptations on Noel Coward and Harold Pinter's The Caretaker, and was the site of the 2004 Dasani scandal.

It is also known that he was on the platform of Sidcup station that Mick Jagger and Keith Richards have agreed to form a group that later became the Rolling Stones.
