Feltham is a town in the London Borough of Hounslow, west London. [1] It lies approximately 13 miles (21 km) west southwest of central London at Charing Cross and 2 miles (3.2 km) from Heathrow Airport Central. [2] It is the location of the establishment of Feltham young offenders [3] near the boundary of the town of Ashford and the nearby village of East Bedfont.

Feltham formed the ancient parish Spelthorne a hundred of Middlesex. [4] In 1831, occupied 2,620 acres (11 km2) and had a population of 924 [5] 1894-1904 Felham the church has been involved in Staines Rural District. [4] In 1901 the parish had a population of 4,534 [5] and in 1904 it was separated from the rural district are the district town of Feltham. [6] In 1932, the parishes in East Bedfont and Hanworth were transferred from the district Staines Feltham Urban District. The former regional Feltham Urban District became part of Greater London in 1965 as part of the London Borough of Hounslow.
