Wandsworth is a southern suburb of London, England, located in the London borough of Wandsworth. It is located 4.6 miles (7.4 km) south-west of Charing Cross. The area is identified in the London Plan as one of the top 35 centers in Greater London.

Wandsworth owes its name to the River Wandle, which enters the Thames at Wandsworth. Wandsworth is in the Domesday Book of 1086 and that Wandesorde Wendelesorde. It means "speaker" (a man with no name) Waendel whose name is also given to the River Wandle. To distinguish it from the London Borough of Wandsworth and Wandsworth District historically Metropolis and Metropolitan Borough of Wandsworth, which are all covered large areas, it is also known as Wandsworth.

He was the son of William and partly Ansculf Wandrille Abbey St. Its Domesday assets were at the age of 12 years, 5 ½ plows and 22 acres (89,000 m2) lawns. However, beer production was stopped in September 2006, when Young & Co merged their operations brewing with Charles Wells of Bedford and a new use for the site is currently under discussion. Young & Co, but still based in Wandsworth.

The band is small and expensive terraced housing (known Tonsleys) behind Old York Road - the center of the old former Wandsworth - add a larger area, independent, semi-detached and detached federal highways is limited to the West Side Wandsworth Common and Earlsfield Road, East Hill. Instead, at the foot of East Hill is a collection of High Council of the blocks.

The Riverfront is an old wharf area, and now a trip along the river to Battersea Village and West End. It is now lined with new apartment buildings, with several bars and restaurants. Notable pubs include The Ship Inn near Wandsworth Bridge. The Waterfront on Battersea Reach is a large bar with stunning views over Chelsea Harbour.

Wandsworth Common is back from the river, above the East Hill, which contains an area known locally as the "Toast Rack" that has some of the town houses the most expensive in London, across from Bellevue Road containing several shops and the famous restaurant Chez Bruce, a former Harvey's, where chef Gordon Ramsay learned his trade, and as co-owner Bruce Poole has received a Michelin star in 1999, later named one of the favorite restaurants London in 2006. The area also contains one of the most impressive buildings in Wandsworth, Royal Victoria Patriotic Building, which now contains apartments, a theater school and "Gothic" restaurant.

Tonsleys / Old York Road is a residential area of the old Wandsworth close to the river and the city center, so called because the names of many streets with the word "Tonsley" involved. And 'the village atmosphere of Old York Road cafes and shops is its heart. There are three main pub, the Royal Standard, East Hill and Alma. Brady's Fish Restaurant serves traditional fish and chips. The area was recently used as the headquarters of the BBC TV series of numerical inferiority. Homes in this area, although small, selling for £ 600k more than £ 1 million, and is preferable, because they retain their Victorian character and are close to Wandsworth Town train station. The houses are very popular with the city's workers, lawyers, advertising executives and other professionals.

East Hill is an area of large Victorian houses bounded by the west side of Wandsworth Common. The De Morgan Centre houses a collection of Victorian art.

Wandsworth High Street is a street choked traffic enough, pick up a lot of traffic from the A3, High Street dominated by the newly reclaimed Southside shopping center, cinema and restaurant complex (formerly and more commonly known as the Arndale Centre).
