Tolworth, in the Domesday Book was called Taleorde. Its Domesday assets were held in part by Richard Picot de Tonebrige and partly Ralph (Ralph) by the Bishop of Bayeux. An extensive development of low brick buildings from 1940 walk-in, surrounded by the A3 north and the railway line to the south, was occupied by the Department of Defense and Investigations Branch abroad but after sitting empty for several years, it was demolished in 2008, and this site currently awaiting redevelopment.

In 30, 40 and 50, the requirements for the extraction of clay brick factory north of the A3 Road Red Lion (now Red Lion Industrial Park) was a large pit full of water (known locally as "Bluey") which was used as a dumping ground for damage pumps and industrial materials removed from the bomb sites as a result of the bombing. Architecturally, Tolworth mainly consists of 1,930 semi-dense single-family homes and small businesses, commercial and retail development. On the ground floor is largely occupied by a single unit retail sales - now a supermarket Marks & Spencer - and smaller units for sale along Broadway, the rest made with the Access to other floors. The other floors of the building was occupied by commercial and government offices, but the north wing was reopened its doors as a Travelodge hotel. The building is a symbol and is the tallest building in the area.

Offices and studios of Radio Jackie, a commercial radio station broadcasting in the south-west London and North Surrey, can be found on Broadway. shafts are placed, like many other dishes, on top of Tolworth Tower.
