Marlow (previously Great Marlow or Chipping Marlow) is a town and civil parish in the district in the south of Wycombe Buckinghamshire, England. It is located on the Thames, 4 miles (6.5 km) south-southwest of High Wycombe, 5 miles (8 km) miles west-northwest of Maidenhead, 33 miles (53 km) west of central London.

The name of the city is the Anglo-Saxon origin and means the land "that remains after emptying a swimming pool". The name is first confirmed that the 1017th Merelafan of Domesday Book in 1086, he enrolled as a Merlaue.

Marlow has been an important city for many years, it is because of its location on the Thames, an important trade route from London.
